Biography:
Dr. Estevez served as Assistant Director of the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory at Duke University Medical Center for ten years. He was a member of Duke University School of Medicine faculty, providing laboratory administration, diagnostic services, applied research and teaching medical students, medical technology students and pathology residents. Dr. Estevez has authored twelve articles in clinical laboratory and medical literature, has made many presentations at lab medicine conferences and has been an invited speaker at state, regional and national meetings in medical and diagnostic microbiology. He has been a visiting lecturer at the University of Florida, Levin College of Law and also at the Department of Biomedical Engineering; he has also been a visiting lecturer at Rollins College, Crummer School of Business. Dr. Estevez is an adjunct professor at Barry University School of Law and teaches Internet Law, Copyright Law and Patent Law. He is a member of United States Power Squadrons®, a national civic non-profit organization devoted to teaching safe boating practices, and as a member of the national law committee serves as trademark counsel and manages the organization?s portfolio of federally registered trademarks. Dr. Estevez is fluent in Spanish and has a working knowledge of French and Italian.
