Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
ADDMG attorneys have diverse educational backgrounds and
represent numerous disciplines. The firm's litigation
section has been trying intellectual property cases since
1972. Many of the members of the litigation section have
attained Martindale-Hubbell's "AV" rating, representing
Martindale-Hubbell's highest rating awarded to attorneys.
The litigation section has tried cases in State courts,
Federal courts, before arbitration panels and administrative
bodies.
The firm's trial group prides itself on having the ability
to fully understand complex matters, digest the salient
facts and legal issues to present a client's case to the
jury in an understandable and meaningful way. Unlike many
other litigation sections in larger firms, the ADDMG
litigation section has the courtroom experience to actually
try cases, as opposed to "litigating" a matter until
settlement. The size of the litigation section permits the
clients to have direct and continuous contact with the
attorney or support staff retained to handle the matter, yet
the group is large enough to control even the most litigious
opponents.
Patent cases have been tried in numerous jurisdictions
involving mechanical, electrical, advanced electronic,
computers, telecommunication, medical devices,
semiconductors, chemical and a variety of other
technologies. ADDMG's litigation group has also represented
clients in numerous trademark and copyright infringements,
internet and domain name disputes, unfair competition claims
and trade secret cases. In addition, the lawyers in the
litigation section have substantial experience in complex
commercial disputes, professional liability and insurance
litigation, bankruptcy disputes related to intellectual
property, franchise cases and other commercial matters. Several of ADDMG’s
attorneys are also qualified arbitrators and certified mediators.
